Software Tools for Mathematics

24 - 28 September 2018
Koper, Slovenia

General information

The workshop is aimed at students and researchers who want to improve their skills in using software tools, important for their studies and research.

  • We will start by two days of Software Carpentry lessons on: the Unix shell, version control with Git, and programming with Python.
  • In the 2nd part we will focus on more math-oriented tools such as SageMath, GAP, CoCalc, Jupyter, DiscreteZOO, and specific TeX-related topics.

We value the diversity of the mathematics software ecosystem, and promote connections among the established solutions and related communities.
